Summarizing
Working with a summary
Everything you can do with a finished summary.
A finished summary has four views at the top: Summary, Ask, Flashcards and Quiz.
Ask#
Type a question under Ask anything about this source…. Answers come from the source itself and point to the timestamp or page they came from.
Flashcards and Quiz#
- Generate flashcards - then Add to review to practise them with spaced repetition in the Study Dojo.
- Generate quiz - answer, then Check answers. New questions gives you a fresh set.
The action bar#
Everything you can do with a summary sits in one row above it:
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| Depth menu (e.g. Deep · 30%) | All four depths: open the ones you have, make a missing one in a click, and see which plan unlocks the rest |
| Listen | Reads the summary aloud; speed and voice appear while it plays |
| Copy | Copies the whole summary |
| 🌐 Globe | Translate it into another language - or open a translation you already made |
| Share | Creates a public link to the summary |
| ☆ | Adds it to your favorites |
| ••• | Export (TXT, Markdown, PDF), Publish to the Bento Box, move to a folder, and Delete |
On a phone the row keeps the depth menu, Listen, the globe and ••• - Copy, Share and the star are inside •••.
Highlight a passage to Mark this in yellow, green, blue or pink.
Under Study, Study Dojo turns the summary into a Study, and Flashcards and Quiz practise it right here. A Study holds a summary written like an article, a lesson, a quiz, flashcards and a chat: see Your Study.
Some actions are part of Premium and Maximum - a lock shows which. See Plans and allowances.
