Your Study
A Study holds your sources, a summary written like an article, a lesson, a quiz, flashcards and a chat.
A Study is everything you made from one source - and any sources you add to it later.
At the top you'll see where you are: Study Dojo › Study details.
The summary#
Your Study's summary reads like a short article: an Abstract first, then numbered sections in a clear order, ending with a Discussion and a Conclusion. There's no table of contents or index - just the sections.
Move the Depth scale to read it shorter or longer. A depth you haven't opened before is written for you the first time.
Double-click any word for its definition.
Lesson, Quiz and Flashcards#
Press one to open it on its own page (Study Dojo › Study details › Quiz, for example). If it isn't ready yet you'll see Creating your quiz… This will just take a moment.
- Lesson - every concept in your source, one step at a time: the key terms, why and how it works, a worked example, and - where students often go wrong - a Common mix-up set straight. Then two questions: one asks you to explain why, the other to use the idea in a new situation. Each answer is explained, including why the tempting wrong one is wrong. Your place is kept if you leave.
- Quiz - questions that make you think: apply, predict, compare, spot the flaw. Every question is checked three times before you see it, so none can be answered by matching words from your source.
- Flashcards - decks for every concept, and one for the whole study.
