Summarizing
Detail levels
Four levels, each a fixed share of the source's own length.
Every summary is sized from the source itself: we count the words in the transcript or document and write a share of that.
| Level | Length | Plans |
|---|---|---|
| Quick | 5% of the source | All plans |
| Balanced | 10% of the source | All plans |
| Detailed | 20% of the source | Premium and Maximum - counts double |
| Deep | 30% of the source | Maximum - counts triple |
Example: a video whose transcript is 10,000 words gives about 500 words at Quick, 1,000 at Balanced, 2,000 at Detailed and 3,000 at Deep.
Every finished summary is counted against its target. If it comes out too short or too long, it is written again before you get it - so Detailed is always about four times Quick.
Another depth of the same summary#
Open a summary and press its depth (for example Balanced · 10%). Every level is listed: the ones you have open straight away, a missing one is made from the original in a click, and a level your plan doesn't include shows a lock and the plan that opens it.
Which one should I pick?#
- Quick - the main points, when you just want the gist.
- Balanced - a solid overview with the key arguments.
- Detailed - the substance, examples and reasoning; good for study.
- Deep - close to a full set of notes.
