Getting started
Your first summary
A walk through making, reading and saving your first summary.
1. Add your source#
On the home page, paste a link into the bar, or press + to add a file:
| Option | What it takes |
|---|---|
| Paste a link | A YouTube video or a public web page |
| Add PDF | A PDF document |
| Add ebook | EPUB or MOBI |
| Add presentation | .pptx, .pptm, .ppsx, .potx or .odp |
| Paste text | Any text you copy in |
| Record a lecture | Opens the lecture recorder in the Study Dojo |
2. Choose the detail level#
Drag the slider or pick a level - Quick (5% of the source's length), Balanced (10%), Detailed (20%) or Deep (30%). See Detail levels.
3. Choose the language (optional)#
Press the globe to pick the language the summary is written in. By default it is the same language as the content.
4. Press SAMURAIZE™#
You will see the progress as it works: reading the captions or document, finding the key points, then writing your summary. You can press Cancel at any time - nothing is counted unless a summary finishes.
5. Read and use it#
The summary opens on the page. From there you can ask questions, make flashcards, share it and more - see Working with a summary.
