The Samuraize extension for Chrome (and Edge, Brave and other Chromium browsers) adds a right-click menu item and a toolbar button. On a YouTube video or an article, click it and Samuraize opens with the link already filled in and the summary on its way.

What it does

Right-click anywhere on a YouTube video page or an article and choose 'Summarize with Samuraize', or click the toolbar icon. The current page's URL is handed to the right tool - YouTube summarizer for videos, article summarizer for everything else - in a new tab. Nothing runs in the background and the extension reads nothing but the URL of the tab you're on.

Privacy

The extension needs only the 'active tab' permission: it can see the address of the page you explicitly click on, and nothing else. It sets no cookies and collects no browsing data.

Installing it

The extension ships as a small folder you can install in under a minute: open chrome://extensions, switch on 'Developer mode', click 'Load unpacked' and pick the folder. Once it's listed in the Chrome Web Store, it'll be a one-click install from there.
