Questions people actually ask
What happens when I run out of coins?
Summarizing stops until your allowance resets on the 1st of the month - nothing is charged automatically and nothing you have already made is taken away. Your library, your published summaries and your settings all stay exactly as they are. If you need more before the reset, you can top up with a coin pack or move up a plan, and both take effect immediately.
Am I charged if a summary fails?
No. Coins are only taken when a summary is finished and handed to you. If the video has no transcript, the file can't be read, or something breaks on our side, you are not charged - and the message on screen says so. If you ever think you were charged for nothing, write to us and we'll put the coins back.
Do unused coins roll over?
Monthly allowance coins don't - they reset with each billing month. Coins you buy in a pack are different: they never expire, and they are only spent once the month's allowance is used up. So a pack bought today is still there in six months.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. If Samuraize isn't what you expected, write to us within 14 days of paying and we'll refund you in full, no interrogation. After that we'll refund any unused part of an annual plan on request. Cancelling is one click in Settings and you keep your plan until the period you've paid for ends.
How do I cancel?
Settings, one click, no email required and nobody trying to talk you out of it. Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you've already paid for, then drops to Free - your library stays.
What does a coin actually buy?
Ten minutes of video, or ten PDF pages. That rate is the same whatever detail level you pick, and the exact price is shown before anything is summarized, so nothing is ever spent by surprise. Longer sources cost proportionally more; a 39-minute video is 4 coins.
Is my data private?
Files you upload are used to make the summary and are not kept afterwards - only the summary itself is saved, to your library. Summaries are private to you unless you publish one to the Bento Box yourself. We don't sell data, we don't train models on your content, and the site is cookieless for analytics: no IP address is stored, only a salted hash that changes daily. Payments go through Stripe and we never see your card details.
Can I use summaries for work?
Yes on any paid plan. The Free plan is for personal use. You own what you make; we claim no rights over your summaries.
Which languages does it work in?
The site itself is in English, Turkish and Spanish, and summaries can be produced in 14 languages on a paid plan - including translating a source into a different language from the one it was recorded or written in.

Prices in USD. Monthly Samurai Coin quotas reset on the first of each month. Big files are split into parts, summarized part by part and stitched back together in order - and charged once, for the whole file. Page and minute equivalents are approximate: the price is worked out from the actual source and shown to you before anything is summarized. Every plan also has a daily fair-use ceiling well above its monthly quota, purely as abuse protection.
