Samuraize logo

If you're comparing YouTube and PDF summarizers, here's what Samuraize does, with no fluff, so you can judge it against NoteGPT or any other tool on the things that matter: what it summarizes, how good the output is, and what it costs. Paste a link above to try it - three summaries are free without an account, and a free account gives you 20 Samurai Coins a month (1 coin per 10 minutes of video).

What it summarizes

YouTube videos (any length, with timestamps), articles and web pages, PDFs up to 500 pages, ebooks, PowerPoint decks and pasted text. Long files are split and stitched automatically, so a 40 MB textbook works the same as a 2-page memo.

How the summaries read

Titled sections in the source's order, not a single blob. 14 output languages and a detail slider from 5% up to 50% of the original, depending on your plan.

Study and re-use

Every summary is saved to a searchable library with favorites and folders. From any summary: ask questions with cited timestamps, generate flashcards or a quiz, re-summarize shorter or longer, translate, export to TXT, Markdown or PDF, share a public link, or have it read aloud.

Price

Free: 20 Samurai Coins a month. Premium: $4.99 a month or $47.88 a year (200 , 14 languages, study tools, channel summarizer). Maximum: $8.99 a month or $95.88 a year (500 a month, 500-page PDFs, full history). Coins are charged by length - 1 per 10 PDF pages or 10 minutes of video - and you're shown the price before anything is summarized. No credits to buy, no per-video charges, cancel from Settings in one click.

What Samuraize doesn't do (yet)

No mobile app (the site works on phones), no browser-side summarization inside YouTube's page, and no audio upload - podcasts are summarized from their YouTube posting. If those are must-haves, another tool may fit better today.

Frequently asked

Can I move my old summaries over?
There's no importer, but summaries you make here export as Markdown, so nothing you create is locked in.
Is there a free plan?
Yes - 20 Samurai Coins every month with a free account (phone verified, one number one allowance), plus 25 for every friend you invite (1 coin per 10 PDF pages or 10 minutes of video), or three summaries with no account at all.
How do I cancel?
Settings → Cancel plan. You keep the paid tier until the end of what you've paid for and are never charged again.
